Responsible for the full accounting cycle of the Dutch entity based in Amsterdam, including monthly closing, financial reporting, VAT compliance, and audit support.
Prepare and post monthly journal entries (accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions)
Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and management reports
Support consolidation and group reporting processes
Prepare and file Dutch VAT returns and Intrastat declarations
Reconcile VAT general ledger accounts and ensure compliance with Dutch tax legislation and internal policies
Liaise with the Dutch Tax Office when required
Support corporate income tax preparation and transfer pricing documentation
Manage intercompany transactions , including invoicing, reconciliations, and TP true-up entries
Maintain accurate documentation for arm’s length pricing
Support audit and statutory reporting , including year-end audit schedules and account substantiation
Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting under IFRS and Dutch GAAP
Collaborate with external auditors and the Dutch Tax Authority.
You will report to the Finance Operations Manager.
Who are you?
Bachelor’s degree (HBO/WO) in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
4–5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in an international or multinational environment
Fluent in English (Dutch preferred but not mandatory)
Hands-on experience with full month-end close and VAT return preparation
Strong knowledge of IFRS or Dutch GAAP
Experience with ERP systems (Exact Online preferred) and Excel
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
You must live in Amsterdam area

Experience preparing VAT returns for multiple EU countries
Familiarity with transfer pricing and intercompany recharges

This is a long term position and full time (40 hours per week)

Working hours: Full-time (Monday–Friday, 8:30–17:00, including a 30-minute lunch break)
Location: Office in Amsterdam (on-site for the first 3 months, then hybrid with one day per week remote)
Competitive salary (Between EUR 4800 - EUR 5200 gross per month) - the salary is depending on education and work experience
The initial contract will be one year (possible to extend depending on performance)
