Role Summary

The Sales Associate plays a key role in driving lead generation for new business and upsell opportunities while gaining hands-on experience across the full sales cycle. This position provides essential support to the sales team and serves as an entry-level pathway for individuals aspiring to build a career in enterprise sales.

Responsibilities

-Proactively identify and qualify leads for new business and upsell opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns, events, and social media outreach.

-Conduct in-depth research to identify decision-makers and understand client needs.

-Engage prospects to uncover challenges and effectively position GTT’s solutions.

-Schedule and coordinate meetings with qualified leads; shadow sales meetings to learn best practices.

-Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all lead generation activities.

-Collaborate with marketing to optimize lead generation strategies and campaigns.

-Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation targets.

-Support development of account and opportunity plans.

-Research market trends, competitive products, and pricing to inform business development efforts.

-Present products and services to stakeholders, addressing questions and customer needs.

-Accelerate revenue growth by completing repeatable tasks in support of the sales function, including quoting, proposal development, forecasting, and administrative activities.

Job Scope

This role works closely with sales teams, sales support, order processing, sales engineering, marketing, and service delivery, while also engaging directly with customers and prospects to drive lead generation.

Required Experience/Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, telecommunications, or equivalent education/experience.

-Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
