Data Engineer - Netherlands - Medical Devices / HealthTech
I'm partnered with a medical device start-up based in the Hertogenbosch area, on a mission to make patient information accessible to everyone —safely, efficiently, and intelligently. In 2025, we won a global award for innovation , and we’re already partnered with hospitals across the Netherlands. With growing interest from Poland, Belgium, and Germany , we’re scaling fast and building the team that will take our product to the next level.

As a Data Engineer , you’ll be at the core of our product—designing and building the data pipelines that enable seamless, secure access to patient information. You’ll work closely with software engineers, product teams, and healthcare partners to create reliable and scalable data infrastructure from the ground up.
Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python , SQL , and PySpark
Work with structured and semi-structured healthcare data from multiple sources
Optimize data flows and storage for performance, reliability, and compliance
Help shape our data architecture and contribute to long-term technical strategy
Ensure data handling meets healthcare privacy and security regulations (GDPR, etc.)
You have 2–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer (not a Data Scientist or Analyst)
✅ You’re confident writing production-ready code in Python and SQL
✅ You’ve worked with big data tools like PySpark or similar
✅ Knowledge Graphs, Graph DBs, Vector DBs, Embedding/Chunking/ReRanking experience for Large Language Models.
