Are you an experienced Power BI Developer who enjoys transforming complex retail data into clear insights and dashboards?

We are looking for a specialist to join a leading retail organization , where you will develop BI solutions that directly impact merchandising, supply chain, store operations, e-commerce, and financial performance. This hybrid role offers the chance to contribute to data-driven decision-making in a dynamic retail environment.

Important to note that it is regarding a contractor position, so this is not a permanent role.

Your responsibilities:

• Translate business questions from retail stakeholders (e-commerce, merchandising, logistics, store operations, finance) into actionable Power BI dashboards and robust semantic models
• Build and optimize DAX measures, calculation groups, and reusable datasets for commercial and operational reporting
• Develop and maintain Power Query/ETL data pipelines using diverse retail data sources (POS, ERP, inventory, CRM, online)
• Implement data governance: row-level security, documentation standards, version control, and structured release processes
• Work closely with category managers, supply chain specialists, analysts, and store management to define and validate KPIs (e.g., sell-through, out-of-stock, margin, inventory levels, promotion performance)
• Conduct performance tuning following VertiPaq principles and BI best practices
• Enable BI adoption: create templates, deliver training sessions, and support usage across the organization

Your profile:

• 4+ years of Power BI development experience with strong DAX and SQL skills
• Proven experience with data modeling and building scalable BI solutions
• Experience with retail data (POS, inventory, merchandising, supply chain, e-commerce) is preferred
• Familiar with Azure SQL, Data Lake, and common data sources (CSV/Excel, ERP extracts)
• Experience with DevOps/CI-CD and Agile/Scrum teams
• Strong stakeholder skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and commercial teams
• Nice-to-have: Azure Data Factory/Databricks, Power BI REST API, Tabular Editor, Deneb
• Language: Dutch speaking is required
