We are partnering with a fast-growing global technology company that supports small businesses across Europe. The company combines traditional services with digital content, branding, and AI-powered platforms , helping clients optimize customer experiences and internal workflows.

Role

As Principal AI Engineer, you will take a strategic, cross-team role , identifying solutions to complex AI challenges and shaping the architecture of the company’s AI platforms. You will work closely with multiple teams across the organization, influencing technical direction, enhancing generative AI and RAG systems, and driving innovation in customer-facing and internal AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic AI initiatives across multiple teams and projects
• Evaluate and enhance AI platforms, including GenAI and retrieval-augmented generation systems
• Provide technical guidance and architecture recommendations to engineering teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business goals into scalable AI solutions
• Identify and implement best practices for AI development, model deployment, and software engineering
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence
• Monitor trends in AI/ML technology and incorporate relevant advances into company platforms

What we’re looking for

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong Python and AI/ML engineering expertise
• Proven experience in software engineering and building scalable AI platforms
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Understanding of GenAI, model context protocols, or similar AI frameworks
• 8+ years of experience in AI-focused software engineering or strategic AI roles
• Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic, cross-team mindset
• Ability to influence technical decisions at a high level and guide multiple teams
