We’re partnering with an innovative and international Water Technology scale-up at the forefront of sustainable water and resource recovery solutions, in their search for a Process Engineer . This company combines decades of experience with a mission to recover valuable resources from waste streams and provide access to clean water in developing regions.
With projects spanning the globe - and technology used in everything from industrial wastewater treatment to mobile clean water units - they are looking to strengthen their team with a hands-on, technically curious professional.
Key Responsibilities
As a Process Engineer, you will:
- Design and optimize water treatment processes based on customer input and internal technologies.
- Create detailed PFDs and P&IDs using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Prepare datasheets, process descriptions, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical input for the procurement of process equipment, pumps, valves, and instruments.
- Collaborate with the mechanical design team to translate process design into 3D models.
- Coordinate with in-house and external manufacturing partners regarding component production.
- Occasionally support commissioning activities on-site (internationally, short term).
Your Profile
You are an analytically strong, structured engineer who enjoys working across the full process cycle. You bring:
- A completed degree in Chemical Process Technology or Sanitary Engineering.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in process engineering.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D and standard MS Office tools.
- Familiarity with P&IDs, datasheets, and other technical process documentation.
- Experience in water treatment or oil & gas is a plus — but not a must.
- A proactive, self-starting mentality and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
- Based in the Netherlands, with the ability to occasionally travel (10–15%).
