Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a talented and motivated Crane Appointed Person (AP) to join our team in the Netherlands.
Appointed Person – Roles and Responsibilities
- Produce, review, and maintain tower crane lift plans and the corresponding schedule of common lifts.
- Develop detailed mobile crane lift plans, including method statements, risk assessments, suitable accessories, and crane selection calculations (AutoCAD experience preferred).
- Plan, prepare, and document all lifting operations, including the safe use of telehandlers and excavators for lifting purposes.
- Liaise with site management, contractors, and external partners to schedule lifting activities while ensuring minimal disruption to site operations.
- Conduct site visits across Europe (EU right to work preferred) and monitor lifting operations to ensure full compliance with approved lift plans, intervening where safe practices are not being followed.
- Ensure all cranes, lifting accessories, and associated equipment have the correct certification and inspection records in place.
- Provide support and advice to the HSEQ team on all aspects of safe lifting.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all lifting activities meet the highest levels of regulatory and internal compliance.
