We’re partnered with a privately held global forwarder looking for a strong all-rounder to lead their Netherlands operations , covering both Rotterdam (Sea Freight) and Amsterdam Schiphol (Air Freight) .

Officially titled Branch Manager – Rotterdam , this role carries national responsibility — overseeing two of Europe’s most important gateways, managing performance across air and ocean, and developing the local business commercially and operationally.

It’s a great fit for someone who’s already running a gateway or branch and ready for the next step — more influence, more scope, and the chance to truly shape a country operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams across Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
• Manage daily operations and financial performance (P&L responsibility).
• Strengthen relationships with key customers and carriers.
• Drive growth through both existing and new business opportunities.
• Ensure seamless coordination between Air & Ocean activities.
• Represent the Netherlands business to European leadership.

What we’re looking for

• Experience within freight forwarding or logistics (Air, Ocean, or both).
• Strong people leader with a commercial and operational mindset.
• Confident managing customer relationships and developing business.
• Organised, pragmatic, and comfortable in an environment where initiative is valued.
• Fluent English and Dutch communication skills preferred.
