Head of Facilities – Temporary Consultant (Full-Time)

Location: Leiden, Netherlands

Are you a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for creating safe, efficient, and compliant environments? We’re looking for a Head of Facilities to lead a growing team and oversee critical technical operations in a dynamic pharmaceutical setting.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and develop the Facilities & IT team (currently 6 people)
• Manage technical projects, budgets, and maintenance for utilities and equipment
• Oversee installation and qualification of Class A & B environments in a new pilot facility
• Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory standards
• Drive Health, Safety & Environment initiatives
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain high standards

What we’re looking for:

• BSc degree and 5+ years in Facilities Management within pharma
• Strong knowledge of utilities (HVAC, compressed air, water systems) and lab equipment
• Experience with GMP compliance and sterile environments
• Health, Safety & Environmental management expertise
• Minimum working knowledge of Dutch
• Service-minded and ready to combine leadership with hands-on involvement
