Technical Support Engineer

About the role

Do you enjoy working in an international environment with various disciplines and does it satisfy you to set up lay-outs according to the standards as set in the sales guide and lay-out design rules? This position will give you this challenge! Together with your colleagues your position is essential to make the Area Sales Manager able to show the required solution to customers. To be a successful Technical Support Engineer a pro-active approach (on collaborating), technical knowledge and high level of CAD (2D & 3D) skills is required.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare lay-outs that align with the high standards set in our internal Sales Guide, clearly outlining the technical specifications, business rules and lay-out design rules
• Monitor and maintain the quality of every lay-out, ensuring it meets our rigorous requirements and exceeds customer expectations
• Efficiently handle the lay-out process from start to finish, ensuring a seamless experience for both the sales team and our customers
• Advisory role towards customer and area sales managers to technically explain the solution for a customer
• Keeping customer files in the digital archive conducting and preparing correspondence
• Responsible for approving lay-out and quote technically before a sell included with project execution cost calculations
• Maintain contact with product managers for technical issues or product releases

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor level degree, mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 2 to 5 years in general technical support role
• Experience in using AutoCAD is a must and 3D experience is an advantage
• Someone with a strong technical background with a passion for precision and detail, particularly in interpreting layout drawings as well as creating lay-outs
• Someone who is available for minimum 32 hours
• Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex information
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• The ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus on customer satisfaction
