Operational Excellence Trainer

As an Operational Excellence Trainer, you will play a key role in onboarding and periodically retraining Manufacturing, Production Support, and Quality Control Operators. Your training scope includes introductory programs, process activities related to cell and gene therapy manufacturing, production support tasks, QC assays, and for-cause training.

You will collaborate closely with the Manufacturing Training Coordinator and Head of Operational Excellence to identify and resolve training bottlenecks. Your efforts will ensure lean, standardized training processes while maintaining the highest standards of GMP compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver training in line with the agreed schedule, covering Manufacturing, Production Support, and Quality Control activities.
• Monitor and report adherence to training plans.
• Identify and communicate training gaps and improvement opportunities to optimize processes.
• Organize and facilitate mock runs, unit operations, and equipment-specific training sessions.
• Provide GMP area training for contractors and visitors.
• Work alongside the aseptic trainer to uphold best aseptic practices, drive continuous improvement, and manage follow-up actions.
• Offer clear guidance to Biotech, Production Support, and QC teams on both project-specific and general procedures.
• Foster constructive collaboration across departments.
• Act as a role model for GMP compliance and ensure awareness of the latest SOP and batch record revisions.

Requirements

• Full onsite role.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Degree in Life Sciences or Biology.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a GMP environment, ideally with hands-on training experience.
• This is a temporary contract for 6 months via NES Fircroft
