Your role

As Expansion Lead Netherlands , you will play a key role in driving Fastned’s growth and strengthening our position as the leading fast charging provider in the Netherlands. You will lead the Dutch expansion team and work closely with the NL Country Director and cross-functional teams in Location Design, Construction, Public Affairs, and Communications. Your focus will be on securing new locations, building strong partnerships, and delivering successful commercial deals.

You will become an expert in the Dutch market, identifying opportunities for growth, developing and executing strategies, and managing the entire process from site identification to deal closure. You will feed opportunities into our pipeline and support the team in delivering on our ambitious growth targets. This role offers a great mix of strategic analysis, business development, stakeholder management, and hands-on project execution.

Your responsibilities include:

• Lead and inspire the Dutch expansion team, fostering a culture of ownership and collaboration.
• Develop and execute strategies to expand Fastned’s network in the Netherlands, in line with our European growth ambitions.
• Identify, evaluate, and secure new prime locations for fast charging stations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in energy, infrastructure, property, and (e-)mobility sectors.
• Prepare and negotiate public tenders and commercial agreements.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams (Location Design, Construction, Public Affairs, Communications) to deliver projects from concept to completion.
• Monitor market developments and contribute to the evolution of Fastned’s strategy.
• Represent Fastned externally and act as an ambassador for our mission and values.

Who we are looking for

Additionally you bring:

• At least 8 years of relevant work experience, ideally in high-growth environments.
• You are a convincing business developer and networker with outstanding people skills.
• Proven experience in building and leading teams.
• Deep knowledge of the Dutch (e-)mobility market and an established network in relevant sectors.
• Strong commercial judgment and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent analytical skills and experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Motivated by making a positive impact and accelerating the energy transition.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the Netherlands and Europe.
