Marketing Director Benelux


The Marketing Director is responsible for the full scope of Marketing, Communications, Product Management, and Public & Regulatory Affairs for the regional business. As a member of the Management Team, the role directly contributes to strategic direction, commercial performance, and long-term market positioning. The role reports directly to the Managing Director Benelux.

Role Overview

A key priority for this role is to build and professionalise the Benelux marketing organisation. As the Benelux organisation has only recently been established as a distinct regional entity, the marketing team is still in a phase of development and alignment. The Marketing Director must therefore unite the team, establish a clear direction, and elevate overall marketing effectiveness. Strong experience in social media, brand-building, and emotionally engaging campaigns is essential, alongside the ability to operate effectively within an international matrix environment, ensuring local priorities are well, represented while engaging constructively with global initiatives to align on what best serves the region.

The Marketing Director ensures alignment with Group strategy while driving high-impact regional execution. Leading a team of nine professionals, the role collaborates closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, HR, and international marketing colleagues to support growth, innovation, and customer engagement. with Group strategy while driving high-impact regional execution.

Role Requirements

The ideal candidate combines strategic marketing leadership with strong business acumen and a pragmatic, execution-driven mindset. He/she is comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels. Key expectations include:

  • Proven senior-level experience in marketing and product management within an international B2B environment.
  • Strong track record in developing and implementing marketing, brand, and product strategies that drive commercial performance and market growth.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives, including product development, innovation projects, and regulatory or public affairs engagement.
  • Proven ability to operate and influence effectively within an international matrix organisation, collaborating with global teams while confidently representing and safeguarding local business needs.
  • Skilled in managing stakeholders across Sales, Operations, R&D, Regulatory, and Senior leadership.
  • Result driven attitude with strong analytical skills and experience in market intelligence, segmentation, and competitive analysis.
  • A collaborative, people-focused leadership style, capable of developing teams and building alignment across functions.
  • Comfortable spending significant time on-site to connect with teams, operations, and the product environment; hybrid working limited to one day per week.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch. French is a plus.
