Internal Audit Manager - IT and Operational Audits


EMEA Recruitment has exclusively partnered with a global manufacturing business in its search to add an Internal Audit Manager to the team in Amsterdam.

As Internal Audit Manager, you will strengthen governance, risk management, and controls.

This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful audits, engage with senior stakeholders, and contribute to high-level decision-making in a complex international environment.

Please note, this role requires up to 30% global travel.

Responsibilities of Internal Audit Manager:

  • Lead and deliver audits across IT, finance, HR, sustainability, and supply chain,
  • Act as a sparring partner for the CTO, with the ability to challenge IT governance, cybersecurity, and digital risks.
  • Oversee end-to-end audit assignments, managing teams of 3–7 auditors
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodology and practices within a challenging, fast-changing environment.
  • Collaborate across global audit teams
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing clear, constructive, and pragmatic recommendations.
  • Support the audit function in maintaining a robust risk and controls culture across the business.

Experience required:

  • Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Economics, IT, or Business Administration, supported by relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CISA, CPA)
  • At least 8 years’ Audit experience gained in multinational settings (preferably manufacturing) or Big 4 firms
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls, global audit standards, and core business processes within an SAP environment
  • Demonstrated leadership with a minimum of 3 years of experience managing or mentoring audit professionals
  • Fluent English, with additional languages welcomed, and readiness to travel internationally up to 30%
  • Skilled in applying data analytics to enhance audit effectiveness
