Instrumentation Lead Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation Lead Engineer to join our offshore engineering team. In this role, you will lead a team of instrumentation engineers and designers on detailed engineering projects for FPSO and offshore facilities, ensuring high-quality deliverables and technical excellence. The position requires strong leadership skills as well as hands-on expertise in automation, telecommunications, and safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of instrumentation engineers and designers in detailed engineering projects
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering documents and compliance with project specifications
• Prepare and review specifications, TBEs, and FAT activities for:
• SCADA/DCS systems
• Telecommunication systems (CCTV, PAGA, radio, LAN, WiFi)
• Fire & Gas detection systems
• Oversee the preparation of instrumentation deliverables including cable lists, block diagrams, layouts, termination diagrams, hook-ups, mounting details, and loop diagrams
• Manage engineering deliverables such as cause & effect diagrams, control narratives, and network architecture diagrams
• Utilize engineering software including E3D and SmartPlant Instrumentation

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc degree in a relevant discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an engineering company, including at least 4 years as Lead Instrumentation Engineer
• Proven experience in managing teams for detailed engineering projects
• Expertise in greenfield automation and telecommunication engineering
• Strong background in offshore platform and HV substation design
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
