What does the ROLE entail?
Focus on commercial efforts including but not limited to converting (last minute) inquiries and upselling to maximize revenues;
Manage groups (both events and room only) proactively to ensure optimum results and prevent losses;
Manage the events planning team to maximize results on planning and revenues;
Manage the team in accordance to the Hyatt principles;
Support and lead the team in successful preparation and coordination of events and groups;
Successfully prepare and coordinate events;
Establish and maintain relationships with (repeat) clients and anticipate and resolve client issues;
Continuously look for ways to improve the effectiveness of the department to optimize outcome;
Ensure efficient, accurate and timely records in the planning system (Envision);
Negotiate quotes and long term agreements with suppliers;
Manage and analyze rooms and events pace reports; 3-month event revenue outlook (forecast), monthly summary of revenues, identify need periods and adjust commercial activities and strategies together with the Cluster Director of Sales and/or the Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing;
Attend and prepare management meetings & commercial meetings
Manage the planning system (Envision) to ensure all data is accurate and correctly configured;
Identify opportunities to upsell to maximize group revenues;
Liaison between the client and operations to ensure a successful and smoothly operated event/group;
Provide detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and manage change logs;
Manage and attend internal BEO meetings;
Manage pre- and post-meetings with the client;
Organize and attend site inspections and tastings;
Anything else that ensures accurate planning and a successful event / room only group.

Your EXPERIENCE:
A degree or certification in Hospitality or Business Administration or similar;
At least 3 years’ experience in event planning or sales;
At least 1 year experience in managing a team or projects;
Legally allowed to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid work permit for the country (we cannot assist with Visa / permit applications).
