Job Description Are you a skilled Mechanical Development Engineer with a passion for innovation and precision engineering? Amaris Consulting is supporting a global leader in health technology to bring groundbreaking medical solutions to life. We are seeking a Mechanical Development Engineer to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team focused on designing and realizing advanced mechatronic systems and manufacturing solutions. This is a full-time, on-site role near Eindhoven, the Netherlands , offering the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact healthcare innovations — from concept to production-ready design. Your Role – What You’ll Do:
  • Translate high-level mechanical concepts into detailed, production-ready designs for innovative healthcare products and manufacturing systems.
  • Detail mechanical solutions within multi-disciplinary, cross-functional projects, often divided into subsystems with mid- to long-term timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with lead engineers, project managers, and experts in dynamics, thermal analysis, electronics, and software to ensure integrated system performance.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation, including service manuals, assembly instructions, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Work within mechanical design sub-teams, both internal and external, to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
  • Maintain strong collaboration with customers and suppliers, ensuring alignment on technical requirements and integration needs.
  • Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities with a focus on quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
What You Bring – Your Profile:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably in the medical device or healthcare technology sector.
  • Proven ability to turn conceptual designs into detailed 3D models and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD tools, preferably Creo (Pro/Engineer) or NX Unigraphics.
  • Experience with PLM systems such as Windchill PDLM or Teamcenter is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, including fine mechanics, dynamics, thermal behavior, materials, and metrology.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as IEC 60601, ISO 13485, and FDA requirements for medical devices.
  • Knowledge of design controls, risk management (ISO 14971), and design for quality (DfQ) principles.
  • Strong analytical mindset, structured approach, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), experience in Dutch is beneficial.
