As Senior Sales Manager, you will lead and develop a team of experienced account managers within AWS Energy and Utilities Industry Business Unit (E&U). You will own the go-to-market strategy and execution for (strategic) accounts, drive revenue growth, and set the vision for how AWS partners with energy leaders to reshape the industry. You will report to the EMEA Sales Director and collaborate closely with global stakeholders to deliver on bold growth ambitions. This role can be based in Paris, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, or Lisbon with travel required to key customer sites and to the U.S. Key job responsibilities
Coach, mentor, and scale a team of senior sales professionals. Foster a culture anchored on customer obsession, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Business Development, Solutions Architecture, Partner Sales, Marketing, Customer Success) to solve customers’ most complex business and technical challenges.
Identify transformational opportunities, de-risk execution, and replicate success through scalable plays and mechanisms.
Use data and metrics to manage pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and sales productivity.
Build trusted C-level relationships, represent AWS at industry events, and evangelize our innovation across the Energy industry.
Basic Qualifications
Proven track record of building, leading, developing and retaining high-performing sales teams.
10+ years of Enterprise Sales Experience with a history of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals that deliver measurable business impact.
Deep understanding of cloud, infrastructure, data, analytics, and AI/ML with ability to translate technology into strategic business outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to set bold strategy, prioritize effectively, and operationalize plans with disciplined execution. Trusted advisor to senior executives through storytelling and value selling; exceptional influencing and negotiation skills.
Strong industry expertise in Energy & Utilities, and how digital transformation drives operational efficiency and innovation.
Experience using CRM and sales analytics tools to manage pipeline, forecast, and performance.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in another European language preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leveraging ISV and GSI partnerships to accelerate business growth.
Sophisticated contract and commercial negotiation skills for complex multi-year enterprise agreements.
Proven success leading through ambiguity and scaling new initiatives across large organizations.
Comfort working across global, matrix organizations and diverse teams. Established network in Energy & Utilities sector.
