The Regional Accounting Lead for NL & UK ensures accurate and timely monthly reporting, maintaining a strong internal control environment and driving compliance across two key jurisdictions. This role provides technical expertise on complex accounting matters, coordinates statutory and tax requirements, and leads a local accounting team. Financial Close & Reporting
Oversee accurate and timely month-end close for NL & UK entities.
Prepare and review local Balance Sheet reconciliations and reviews.
Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and statutory requirements.
Governance & Compliance
Coordinate statutory and tax requirements across NL & UK, ensuring full compliance.
Liaise with local tax advisors and Group Tax for corporate tax returns.
Serve as a key point of contact for Group external auditors during audits.
Technical Expertise & Advisory
Provide local technical expertise for NL & UK accounting matters.
Advise on complex accounting issues and ensure adherence to best practices.
Team Leadership & Development
Manage and develop the local accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Promote collaboration across Shared Service Centers and regional finance teams.
Process & Systems Improvement
Enhance financial processes, embedding best practices in reporting, reconciliations, and controls.
Support digital enablement and finance transformation initiatives.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
3 /4 years Post qualified experience. (CA, ACCA, or equivalent).
Proven leadership experience in regional or multi-country accounting roles.
Strong English proficiency (written and verbal).
Proficiency in Dutch and/or another relevant local language for NL & UK operations.
Expertise in statutory compliance and tax coordination.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience
Experience with ERP systems and finance transformation projects.
Exposure to multinational finance environments.
Familiarity with internal control frameworks and audit processes.
Education & Qualifications
Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
