Overview System Engineers are responsible for designing and implementing customer automation projects, supervised by an experienced engineer. System engineers work in teams and take a comprehensive approach to solving problems, learning the details of each project’s mechanical, electrical, and software systems. Instrumentation and Electrical Design (20%)
Create instrument lists by examining P&ID Drawings
Compile submittal and procurement documentation for controls and instrument hardware
Provide technical support for panel fabrication technicians
Inspect completed control enclosures
System Design and Configuration (30%)
Participate in customer design review meetings
Assemble development system using project hardware and computers
Configure user interface and HMI screens
Configure DDC, PLC and/or DCS control algorithmsDraft system documentation from templates
Assist in developing and performing customer demonstrations and acceptance testing
Onsite System Startup (50%)
Install project software and configuration onto site systems
Perform instrumentation and system startup and testing
Troubleshoot installation discrepancies and program field modifications as required
Assist with developing training documentation/presentation on operations and maintenance of system
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Professional level English (C1, C2, or Native)
Engineering Degree (MBO, HBO, MS, or BS)
Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Computer or Engineering Technology or related degree
