What we do

Everyone needs a home, yet the experience of renting - or renting out - is terrible.

For this generation, housing is one of the most pressing problems. Solving it is urgent.

Uprent is an AI agent for rental home search. We started by creating an experience where tenants find homes auto-magically, while landlords rent out homes in days (soon hours, then minutes), with 10x lower fees, and no agents.

Our big ambition is to do for homes what Tesla did for cars. We want to redesign the entire process: from the way people find and rent, to the homes themselves. Why do we still carry metal keys? Why do drains still clog from hair? Why do toilets cause splashes?

We're ready to devote the next decades of our lives to completely redesign the way humanity lives globally.

How's it going?

We have reached 10,000+ users with zero marketing spend, growing purely through product quality

With a team of three people, we have built a product that condenses the rental process from months into days for tenants, and fills rentals in record time for landlords

We have raised two rounds of funding (undisclosed) and are now doubling the team from 3 to 6 to accelerate

• Yury (CEO) & Alex (CTO) are repeat founders (€1M+ ARR)
• Alex: previously team Lead at a $500M revenue company at 22yo
• Yury: Esports World Champion & Forbes 30u30 at 21yo (back when it was cool)
• Pierre (Founding Engineer): ex-PropX, built systems handling 100k+ home listings and processing millions of rental contracts

What will you do

You will be involved in pretty much everything, working (mostly) directly with the CEO on tasks like:

• Marketing: Communities, SEO, influencers, etc.
• Hiring: Vacancies, sorting candidates, interviews, legal, etc.
• Fundraising: Sourcing investors, reaching out, etc.
• Finance: Keeping books clean, creating P&L, balance sheet, etc.
• General: All the other stuff that will appear every week, incl. anything related to the office or team

We're looking for

Can write code at a junior level + Can write a killer email + Can't stand chaos + High taste + Fast, iterative = You

We particularly love ex-founders, though this is not required

If you're in the Netherlands, we don't care where you live - in Amsterdam, Zeeland, Limburg or a Frysk village. We will figure it out. If you're in Europe, we expect you to relocate to the Netherlands. We will assist in relocation and help find an affordable home.

Working culture

Both Yury and Alex have been building startups for years with zero breaks. We are an all-engineer team, so our culture is pure geekery. We believe every problem is best solved through engineering — whether it's product, leadgen, fundraising, or accounting.

We reject the European work-life balance. Greatness isn't achieved through balance. It is achieved through obsession.

We work hard: 6 days a week, 12 hours a day. And we love it. We get to solve one of the most pressing problems of this generation, work with like-minded builders, create a product we'll be proud to tell our grandkids about, and get rich if we succeed.

Offer

• Salary: €36,000 – €48,000 (approx. $42k – $56k)
• Equity: 0.1% – 2.5%
• Sometimes, we can be flexible on the numbers

You'll get actual equity. This is as close as you can get to starting a company without taking on 'founder risks'.

We also pay for and manage your food, apartment cleaning, transport, etc.

Right now, we pay what we can. As we hit revenue milestones or secure new funding, cash compensation will rise. Our goal is to eventually have a very small team of exceptional engineers, paid significantly above the market.
