Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Expert with over 15 years of progressive experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale enterprise perimeter security infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network security, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and secure architecture design. You will be responsible for safeguarding the organization's critical assets by leading the strategy, development, and execution of perimeter security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Strategy:
• Design and implement advanced perimeter security architectures (on-prem, hybrid, and cloud).
• Develop long-term strategies for perimeter defense aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
• Define security policies, standards, and procedures related to network and perimeter security.
• Technology Leadership:
• Lead the selection, deployment, and lifecycle management of perimeter security technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, DDoS protection, proxy servers, VPN, NAC, Zero Trust Network Access).
• Evaluate and integrate next-generation security platforms including SASE and cloud-native firewalls.
• Security Operations:
• Collaborate with SOC and NOC teams for incident detection, analysis, and response.
• Establish alerting thresholds, response playbooks, and tuning procedures for perimeter tools.
• Oversee secure configuration, patching, and monitoring of perimeter devices.
• Conduct regular threat modeling and risk assessments for network boundaries.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR).
• Lead perimeter security audits and vulnerability remediation.
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, application, and risk teams to embed perimeter security.
• Mentor junior security engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in network and perimeter security roles.
• Expert-level knowledge of:
• IDS/IPS systems (Snort, Suricata, Cisco, McAfee)
• DDoS mitigation solutions (Akamai, Cloudflare, Arbor Networks)
• Secure VPN technologies and remote access solutions
• SIEM and threat intelligence integration
• Proficiency in cloud perimeter security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust, SASE, and software-defined perimeter concepts.

Certifications (Preferred)

• CISSP, CCSP, or CISM
• GIAC (e.g., GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, GPPA)
• CCIE Security or equivalent vendor-specific certifications
