Head of Networks - / Spring GDS

In this role, you build and optimise a multimodal network across 15 hubs in 10 countries, ensuring quality, compliance and performance in one of Europe's most dynamic logistics environments.

Uitdagingen

You are responsible for the design, performance and continuous optimisation of Spring’s European multimodal network. You own all network processes, including customs trade & compliance, and act as the central coordination point for international network challenges.

You lead a team of six specialists and ensure that hubs, linehauls and partners operate as one integrated, high‑quality network. You monitor performance in real time, intervene when needed, and translate customer and product requirements into scalable network solutions. You support Spring countries with migrations, new hub openings and customs implementations, and you play a key role in strategic projects that shape the future of our European operations.

Wat breng jij mee?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or 5–10 years of relevant experience
• Strong understanding of e‑commerce logistics and supply chain management
• Deep knowledge of customs regulations (AEO, IATA, ISO and related frameworks)
• Experience in an international, commercial and operational environment
• Excellent project management skills
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills
• Ability to translate complexity into clear, actionable solutions
• Strategic mindset combined with a hands‑on, flexible attitude
• Excellent command of English; an additional language is a plus
• Cultural awareness and the ability to build bridges across teams and countries
