Lead Software Engineer – AI Powered Multi Tenant SaaS – €100–120K plus Equity – Amsterdam

Our client is a fast-growing company building an AI-powered SaaS platform that helps organizations handle contracts and compliance obligations faster, more professionally, and more efficiently. By combining advanced and agentic AI with the expertise of legal professionals, they automate up to 95 percent of repetitive work. Built on a multi-tenant architecture, the platform is designed for organizations with multiple subsidiaries and uses specialized AI agents to handle most routine work. Lot of modern tech stuff.

The role

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will take technical ownership of the platform and drive architecture decisions that are currently handled by external consultants. You are highly hands‑on and act as a working lead, leading by example rather than managing one‑on‑one.

You combine senior‑level engineering depth with the ability to guide others and increasingly take the technical lead within the team. You oversee the platform end‑to‑end.

You play a key role in further designing and scaling the AI assistant architecture, improving performance, and expanding platform capabilities. This includes building more advanced permission structures to enable seamless collaboration across organizations. This role is for someone who wants to stay very hands‑on while driving technology and architecture forward.

Team

CTO, Frontend Engineer, Full Stack Engineer, AI ML Engineer joining soon. External engineers are currently involved but will phase out in Q2. You will be instrumental in taking over architectural ownership.

You should have experience with

• Growing from senior developer into a more managerial or tech lead role, or prior experience as a Tech Lead, ideally within a startup or scale‑up environment
• Strong ownership mentality and the ambition to drive technical direction and architecture
• Full-stack expertise and the ability to oversee the platform end‑to‑end. If you have an emphasis, then ideally, more on the backend.
• Experience with Django, React, and NextJS is a strong plus, not a hard requirement

Responsibilities

• Designing and further developing the AI assistant architecture
• Improving performance and scalability of the platform
• Building more advanced permission and collaboration structures
• End‑to‑end product development across the full stack
• Gradually taking over architectural ownership from external parties

The offer

Gross annual salary between €100K and €120K plus equity. No pension scheme yet!

2 times office per week in the office in Amsterdam.

Intention to go to an indefinite contract after the first contract.
