For an iconic tasting room in Amsterdam, we are looking for a General Manager. A unique venue where craftsmanship, experience and hospitality come together, located at a historic brewery site where the story of a well-known Amsterdam beer brand began.
We are looking for a positive, born leader who knows how to guide and inspire the team and, together with them, creates an optimal atmosphere and working environment.

The role

As General Manager, you have full oversight of the daily operation of a venue made up of multiple spaces. You are visibly present on the floor, actively working alongside the team and regularly stepping in behind the bar when needed. You are the face of the venue and the main point of contact for both guests and the team.

Your responsibilities include

• Leading, coaching and motivating the team
• Actively working on the floor and frequently stepping in behind the bar
• Creating and maintaining a positive working atmosphere
• Safeguarding atmosphere, quality and guest experience
• Optimizing margins and staffing costs
• Maintaining overview of all operational processes within the overall concept

The venue & concept

The venue consists of several spaces that together form one cohesive concept. There is a tasting room with a large bar and a spacious terrace, complemented by a second building where guests can enjoy drinks indoors. Together, these elements create one strong overall experience, with an accessible menu of snacks and burgers and a clear focus on beer, experience and conviviality.

• A natural leader who enjoys working hands-on on the floor
• Someone who gains energy from guest interaction and visible leadership
• A true craft beer enthusiast, preferably with solid product knowledge
• Someone who easily connects with guests and builds strong relationships

Preferred language skills

Our preference goes to someone who has a good command of the Dutch language.
