Breakfast Chef – 5* Hotel Amsterdam

About the Hotel

For a 5-star hotel in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Breakfast Chef. You will be working in a high-end, international hotel environment where service, refinement, and structure are central.

This hotel is known for its high quality standards, professional organization, and strong focus on guest experience. Within the kitchen, you will be given a great deal of independence, trust, and responsibility.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys early starts, works well independently, and takes pride in delivering a perfectly organized breakfast service.

The Role

As a Breakfast Chef, you are responsible for preparing, setting up, and running the full breakfast service. You will manage both the buffet and à la carte dishes, ensuring everything is presented on time, in a structured manner, and at a true 5-star level.

Your responsibilities include

• Preparing, setting up, and continuously replenishing the breakfast buffet
• Preparing à la carte dishes such as omelettes, poached eggs, fried eggs, pancakes, and other breakfast classics
• Independently running the breakfast service
• Working with professional kitchen equipment, including a Rational oven
• Monitoring quality, presentation, and pace during service
• Ensuring hygiene standards and compliance with HACCP regulations

Breakfast shifts start early in the morning (approximately 04:30/05:00 AM) and finish around 1:00 PM.

Who We Are Looking For

• Experience as a Chef de Partie or Breakfast Chef
• Ability to independently run a service
• Reliable and punctual, especially with very early start times
• Structured and calm under pressure
• Strong eye for detail and high-level presentation
• Hotel experience is preferred
