As a Team Lead Delivery, you are the key link between the Home Shop Center, the delivery locations, and the customer’s front door. Leading a team of around 35 drivers, you ensure that groceries are delivered every day: complete, on time, and in perfect condition. You coach and inspire your team to excel in customer friendliness, quality, and driving skills. You keep the delivery process tightly organized, actively manage recruitment and onboarding and give new colleagues a warm welcome to the team. Thanks to your leadership and close collaboration with other managers, everyone gets on the road well-prepared and fully focused on the customer. Your role as Team Lead Delivery at Albert Heijn

  • You monitor the progress and quality of the delivery process, focusing on KPIs such as (fresh) product quality, on-time delivery, damages, and NIX18 compliance.
  • You closely track KPIs during your shift and coordinate with fellow Teamleads and the Manager Delivery.
  • You prepare your shift and anticipate last-minute changes in planning or staffing, in line with Dutch working time regulations.
  • You contribute to a smooth handover between shifts.
  • You build an engaged team by coaching on customer friendliness and safe driving behavior, holding regular one-on-one development conversations and giving and receiving open, transparent feedback.
  • You are responsible for administrative tasks such as updating time registration, handling damage claims, and issuing and collecting routes.

As Team Lead Delivery, you:

  • Have at least a vocational/technical education equivalent to MBO level 4.
  • Use your leadership experience and people-focused approach to motivate and inspire others.
  • Can communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Are flexible and willing to workday and evening shifts, including weekends.
